Welcome to Latispánica! Here’s what you need to know about signing up and paying for your classes or event.

REGISTRATION

We’re thrilled to have you join us at Latispánica! To get started, please register online. This ensures you’re all set before participating in our classes or event.

As part of registration, please take a moment to review and agree to our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Registration and Refund Policy. We also ask for your consent regarding:

PAYMENT OPTIONS

To make sure everything runs smoothly, please ensure your payments are made before participating in classes or event.

Payment is required upon registration. Payment options include:

Online – with a Visa, AMEX or Mastercard

CANCELLATIONS & CHANGES

Latispánica reserves the right to cancel classes or events with insufficient registration. In this event, fees for cancelled classes be refunded.

Any registrations must be cancelled within five days of the starting date to provide enough time for Latispánica to fill the spot.

Latispánica reserves the right to change and substitute teachers as necessary.

REFUND POLICY

We understand that plans can change, and you might need to reconsider enrolling in our classes or event. To help you with this, we’ve put together a clear and fair refund policy.

Event withdrawal notice must be given by email at [email protected] before the event scheduled after your date of registration.

School Dance withdrawal notice must be given by email at [email protected] (not instructor) before the first class scheduled after your date of registration.

Exceptions will be made for valid medical reasons or serious family emergency.

If eligible, refunds are issued as follows:

100% before the first day of class or event, less processing fees.
A 20% administration fee will be deducted for processing the refund.
The cost of all classes held prior to the withdrawal notification, whether attended or not, will be deducted.
Absence (non-attendance) from dance class is not considered a notification of withdrawal.

If you need to withdraw from a class, please send a written notice to [email protected], including the student’s name, class, and reason for withdrawal.

LOST & FOUND

Latispánica and Halifax Regional Municipality are not responsible for lost or stolen items. As a courtesy, the municipality provides a lost and found box in the lobby and holds found items at the front desk. We recommend that students bring valuables into the studio during class or event to keep them secure. Unclaimed items will be donated to charity at the end of each term.

INJURIES & HEALTH CONCERNS

Our instructors strive to avoid injuries by demonstrating proper alignment and injury prevention. Please make sure the dance school or event coordinator is aware of any health concerns, injuries, chronic illnesses and allergies before the first class or event.

AGREEMENT OF RELEASE & WAIVER OF LIABILITY

***PLEASE READ CAREFULLY***

This section is a waiver of liability for participating in a dance class, recreational sports or event with Latispánica, guest instructors and volunteers. The participant understands that some events involve physical exertion that could lead to injury and is aware of the associated risks.

The participant agrees to follow all health and safety guidelines, including social distancing, and understands it is their responsibility to consult a physician before participating in dance class, recreational sport, event or any related activities. They confirm they are physically fit and have no medical condition that would prevent full participation.

In exchange for being allowed to participate, the participant assumes full responsibility for any risks, injuries, illnesses, or damages that may arise and waive any claims against Latispánica, instructors, volunteers, or the venue for any illness, injury, or damages resulting from participation.

By agreeing this waiver, the participant and their legal representatives release Latispánica, its instructors, volunteers, and the venue from liability for any sickness, injury, or death caused by negligence or other actions, and agree to the terms outlined above.

PHOTO RELEASE

By participating in our school, recreational sport, or event you grant the Latispánica permission to use your image (including still photography, video, electronic media, print publications, and websites) for appropriate purposes. This consent is given without expectation of compensation. If you prefer not to participate, please contact the Program Coordinator at [email protected] to discuss your options.

PRIVACY AND COMMUNICATIONS

By registering for classes, recreational sports or events at Latispánica, you consent to receive both essential and non-essential communications.

Essential Communications: Required for full participation in classes and necessary for service provision.
Non-Essential Communications: Includes information about events, fundraisers, and general updates about Latispánica.

Your consent ensures you stay informed about all aspects of our programs.
